Salvaging winding of 1000 KVA Alternator of M.T.Vallabh Bhai Patel at anchorage of Port Rozi Ja mnagar brief detail as follows:- |

The said Alternator insulation was dead zero, even testing with series lamp test. The job was allotted
to other w/shop, they dismantled, checked and reported that it has to be rewound . (Repairing / Salvaging of winding is not possible) and for rewinding it has to remove to w/shop, rewinding on board the vessel is not possible. But the ship did not have heavy crane to Off load the heavy alternator in barge as such floating crane is required.
The winding job will take one month time. After said report of allotted w/shop Mr. S. K. Sood than General Manager allotted the job to us. We attend the vessel at port Rozi, complete test of winding was carried out by separating all coils, dead zero coils was located, replaced and insulation of complete winding was improved to 100 M.Ω. The job was completed in 4 days. |

M.T. J. N. Vyas Boiler fire damage in Mumbai Port, the tanker was fully loaded:-
|
Auxiliary boiler compartment had fire, boiler controller and equipment was badly damaged in fire and all the cable for boiler, power controller motors and safeties were burnt. Even lighting circuit cables and light fitting were burnt. The job was carried out on war footing working continuously everyday from 8A.M. to next day early morning 2.30A.M. till completion of job, our workers were supplied food from a shore 4 times a day and personal supervision of senior partner was there because vessel was fully loaded and delay in work would have increased “off hire” time of the vessel. At that time Mr. S. K. Sood was Director BNT and Mr. Manoj Dabral was attending Superinte-ndent. (Speed & skill of our work was appreciated by SCI & classification Surveyors.) |

M.T. Rafi Ahmed Kidwai (fire in generator compartment):-

The vessel was fully loaded and was anchored beyond B.F.L., generator compartment
was dark and because of monsoon vessel was rolling
very badly. Main cables from
M.S.B. to generator and other control cables and lighting cables were burnt and those
were to be renewed. We have worked at least 18 Hrs. per day till the work is completed.
Material was supplied by fishing trawler. Complete back-up support from our w/shop for shore facility and procurement of the approved cable and required other material / man power and all other requirement were provided on emergency basis, so that “off hire” time of the vessel is minimize, the job was completed to the satisfaction of SCI. and classifications, attending superintendent had appreciated our hard work. |

M.V. Ravidas fire job in Hatch no. 5:-

Fire had occurred in no.5 Hatch of the vessel, power and lighting cables going from main switch board to deck machinery were burnt in no.5 Hatch in considerable length, because of that deck machinery was paralyzed and deck was all dark. The vessel was berthed at 12 B. Indira dock, most of the crane jibs were facing wharf and remained as it is because of no power till the power was restored. We were allotted the job, we have taken immediate action and procured the required approved cable on Saturday itself
(fire had broke at Saturday noon ).
We have traced the big bunch of cables and all cores were marked carefully and than cut the burnt pieces of cables. 2 nos. big size of water tight junction boxes specially made as per requirements and fitted, secured, terminated connected after tracing the marking and circuits. Job carried out working round “O” clock and completed by the Tuesday noon i.e. within 3 Days |

AHU and also providing individual heating unit for complete accommodation with new wiring and installing of new 80 KVA 3 phase transformer. Also provided heating system for expansion tank. We have incorporated all safety norms of IRS, working round ‘o’clock and completing work in record time.
